Genghis Khan and his Falcon

Last night I read “Like the flowing river “novel which is written by Paulo Coelho. In this novel there are so many stories. I read Genghis khan and his falcon story.
Author visit to Kazakhstan, in central Asia. In Kazakhstan some hunters who still use the falcon as a weapon. When author taking lunch one people told Genghis khan story.
In this story, one morning Genghis khan and his friend went out hunting. His friend taking bows and arrows, but Genghis khan carried on his favorite weapon falcon. They could not found anything. Disappointed khan and his friends returned to the encampment. Genghis khan was desperately tired and thirsty. In the summer heat, he could not find anything to drink. Then, he saw a thread of water flowing from a rock just front of him. Khan took out cup which is always carried with him. When he fills up cup of water then falcon plucked the cup from his hands and dashed it to the ground. Once again Khan Fill up cup of water falcon again attacked it and spilling the water. Angry Khan this time pierced the bird’s breast. Falcon was dead. When khan climbed the rock in search of more water he saw that one the most poisonous snakes dead in the pool of water. If khan drunk the water he died. Then Khan realize that his falcon save his life.
